SD Drug Task Force Takes on Meth Abuse

A work group formed by South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard has been meeting to come up with recommendations to respond to growing methamphetamine use in the state.

Senator Billie Sutton of Burke, a member of the task force, says they got a better idea of the problem….

Sutton says part of the solution is moving resources to where they are needed….

Sutton says the group came up with a number of ideas and recommendations…..

The groups report says between 2014 and 2015, drug arrests grew twenty percent, while meth related arrests jumped forty percent.
