Expanding the South Dakota State Labor Department’s reach is the goal of Secretary Marcia Hultman. She says it is part of their effort to expand the states workforce….

Hultman is speaking to business groups around the state. At a stop in Yankton, she said employers have to make some extra efforts to hire young people, the so called “millennials” …….

Hultman says they are also expanding their educational opportunities…..

Hultman says there are over thirteen thousand open jobs being advertised in the state right now, and about seven thousand people available for those jobs.
