SD Democrats Have Race For Party Chair

It looks like South Dakota democrats will have a competitive race for their party chair.
Ann Tornberg, Chair of the Union County Democrats says she is interested in the top spot…………


Current Chair Deb Knecht of Houghton is not running for another term.
Tornberg says she thinks democrats in South Dakota can bounce back from this years election setbacks……


She says they were successful in placing the minimum wage hike on the ballot and getting it passed.
Tornberg says they need to follow through on important issues during the 2015 legislative session…………


Tornberg was defeated in her bid for the District 16 Senate seat.
Jeff Barth, a member of the Minnehaha County Commission has also said he will run for the top party spot. The state central committee will meet December 13th in Oacoma.
