The South Dakota Department of Transportation is considering changes to Highway 50 west of Yankton, to the Highway 37 intersection.
DOT Engineer Mark Malone says they want to eliminate stretches of four lanes, and replace them with two traffic lanes, and a center turning lane…..

Malone says the traffic counts they see don’t support those stretches of four lanes…..

Malone says the project planning will take some time….

Malone says they are taking public input through next Wednesday.
