SD Corn Releases Results of Forensic Examination

The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council has released the results from their forensic examination.  Council President Grant Rix says the audit conducted by Certified Public Accountant ELO of Sioux Falls did not find an illegal activity.

However, he says the audit did red flag some contracts that were incorrectly written and a conflict of interest violation for Legislative Director Teddi Mueller that is now under investigation by the state.

Rix says ELO has suggested various changes in how the Council does business and many of which have already been implemented.

The forensic examination results are open to the public and will be posted on the South Dakota Corn website or can be requested by calling the office.
