South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem, who was just reelected to a fourth term in the US House last Tuesday, announced yesterday that she would not run for another term…….

In a posted video, Noem says she will be a candidate for Governor in 2018…………

Noem says she thinks she can bring new ideas and energy to Pierre…..

Part of the incentive for Noem’s announcement was the state’s new campaign finance law, which once effective, would have prevented Noem from converting her Congressional campaign funds to a state fund.

Noem says she wants to help people solve problems.

Noem says she will focus on her Congressional work, and not actively campaign for Governor until late next year.
