A proposal that would expand individual stimulus payments to two thousand dollars appears to be stalled in the US Senate after being approved in the House earlier this week.

South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson voted no on the bill saying a lot of the money would go to people that don’t need it…..

Johnson says the states economy is doing pretty well right now….

President Trump supports the two-thousand-dollar plan. Johnson says he took that into consideration before voting no….

The new Congress is set to be sworn in on Sunday, so time is limited on any last ditch attempt to pass the stimulus plan.
