Former Circuit Judge Tim Bjorkman officially entered the race for South Dakota’s lone US House seat last week.
Bjorkman, originally from Kimball, spent ten years on the bench, before resigning last month.
He says there are a large number of people who have not had representation…..
Bjorkman says he and his staff would have a sharp focus…..
Bjorkman is running as a democrat, but doesn’t want to be labeled…..
He may face a primary as Chris Martian (mar-tee-in) of Rapid City has announced a run. On the republican side, Dusty Johnson of Mitchell and Shantel Krebs of Pierre are running. Over the weekend, George Hendrickson of Sioux Falls said he would run as an independent. Incumbent Congresswoman Kristi Noem is running for Governor next year.
