The Chief Justice of the South Dakota Supreme Court says the use of drug and alcohol courts will be expanded across the state.
Justice David Gilbertson helped set up the courts that divert some drug and alcohol offenders away from jail time.
Gilbertson says the drug courts are now centered in the larger cities…..

Gilbertson says some of the courts in the cities need to be expanded…..

Gilbertson says they are making plans for those courts in rural areas too….

Gilbertson was also elected to another term as Chief Justice by the other members of the Supreme Court.
