SD Board of Regents Talking Tuition, No Changes….For Now…

The South Dakota Board of Regents will talk about tuition and fees at their meeting this week in Pierre, but won’t be setting rates for next year yet.
Regents President Bob Sutton says they will have a discussion about how tuition and fees may have to support raises for university faculty….

State funding did not include money for those raises this year.
Sutton says they need to have the discussion now, as they will set tuition next summer….

Sutton says they need to keep salaries competitive with surrounding states….

The Regents are meeting in Pierre through Thursday.
