The South Dakota Board of Regents, during a teleconference this week, decided to freeze tuition for the next school year.
Outgoing Board President Kevin Schieffer says those costs have gone up a lot over the past few years….

Schieffer says they made the decision without a lot of financial information…

In the past when the job market was tough, enrollment at state universities went up. Schieffer says that was one factor in their decision…

The Regents also chose John Bastian of Belle Fourche as President for the next two years. Schieffer will continue his term on the Board.
