The Blue Ribbon Task Force on Teachers and Students is meeting today in Pierre.
The agenda includes funding models and possibilities and revenue possibilities.
Task Force Co-Chair Senator Deb Soholt of Sioux Falls says they have a firm goal of raising teacher pay, and to do that, school districts may have to work with more state aid guidelines…………

Soholt says to move teachers salaries, there will need to be changes at all levels………

Task Force member LuAnn Lindskov, a teacher in Timber Lake, says there may need to be specific rules on any additional money going to school districts……….

The task force is due to adjourn later this afternoon. (4:30 on the agenda)
One more meeting has been tentatively set for October 29th.
