The Blue Ribbon Task Force on Students and Teachers met last week, and continued discussions of what if anything could be done to ease a potential teacher shortage, and improve teacher pay.
Senator Billie Sutton of Burke says they task force is making progress. He says they had a long conversation on changing the state funding formula………

Some of the task force members want schools to become more efficient before any new funding is considered. Sutton says some districts may not be able to meet that target………

Sutton says the task force has struggled with finding ways to raise state funding for education………

The Task Force will meet again October 29th in Pierre.
