The Sound Dakota Beef Industry Council is sharing holiday cheer through a beef promotion designed to thank front line and health care workers for their service. Les Shaw, is a cattle producer from White Owl and serves on the Council. He says the state’s 14,000 beef producers are partnering with 45 plus health care facilities in state.

The beef certificates continue to go to workers facing COVID-19 challenges through New Years Day. Shaw says they’ve had tremendous response from the health care community.

Paul Hanson, President and CEO of Sanford Sioux Falls says they’re sharing the beef certificates with their entire staff, from nurses to housekeepers, who are excited for the support from the public. He says it gives them a real emotional boost.

The beef campaign will have an estimated $50,000 impact on the purchase of beef, supporting local communities.
