US banks have been working under the Dodd-Frank regulations passed during the height of the great recession in 2008.
Now Congress may be looking at a roll back of some of those rules.
South Dakota Bankers Association President Curt Everson says the House passed the “CHOICE Act,” which would start the process…..
Everson says the federal rules are an extra burden for small banks…..
Everson says in the end, banks don’t pay for the rules and regulations…..
The Senate is expected to make major changes to the bill before passing their version.
