South Dakota 4-Hers donated more than 19,000 pieces of clothing to those in need through their Head to Toe statewide project. SDSU Extension 4-H Youth Development Field Operations Coordinator Amber Erickson says the project was developed by the 4-H Youth Council.

She says 4-H clubs in each county helped distribute the donated items. Erickson says Tripp County topped the donations, with nearly 7,000 pieces of clothing.

Erickson says this year’s Head to Toe project will focus on blanket donations.
