The National Organization of Rural Health has recognized thirty South Dakota hospitals as top performers and one of them was the Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital in Scotland. For a town with a population just over 800, Gale says the hospital has an excellent number of health providers….

The rankings included all acute care hospitals in the nation and were judged on hospital performances based on quality, outcomes, patient satisfaction and financial strength.
