Schools Waiting on New Details of Food Serving Requirements

The Trump Administration is rolling back some of the nutrition standards for school meals that were set during the Obama Administration. Those limited the amounts of salt and fats that students could receive, along with limiting portion sizes.
Yankton School Superintendent Dr Wayne Kindle says he has been listening to Sandy Kramer, the longtime head of the school food service…..

There will also be a new federal requirement that schools have a written policy in place for students that can’t pay for their meals. Kindle says they have had longstanding policies in place …..

Kindle says they don’t let any student go hungry…..
Schools have to have the written policy in place by this summer.
