A bill has been introduced in the South Dakota Senate that would void the transgender policy adopted by the High School Activities Association and establish a state standard to determine sexual identity for participation in sports.
Yankton Superintendent Wayne Kindle says school districts can better handle those issues..
Kindle says schools can better work with students and parents on gender issues..
Kindle says they have experience dealing with those issues…
The bill would require an athlete to participate in a sport that corresponds with the gender on their birth certificate.
