Augustana University senior forward Casey Schilling has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday.

Schilling averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals helping the Vikings to two wins over the weekend.

Schilling, a 6-foot-6, 215-pound forward from Ellsworth, Minn., opened the weekend with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals against USF. He finished the game 5 of 14 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free throw line.

On Sunday, Schilling registered 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals against SMSU.   Schilling finished 7 of 13 from the field against the Mustangs and connected on 8 of 12 free throws. The 23-point game for Schilling marked his fourth 20-plus point performance of the season and the 32nd of his career.

This marks the second time Schilling has been named player of the week by the NSIC this season. He has been named NSIC Player of the Week seven times in his career.   Schilling currently ranks sixth in the NSIC averaging 18.1 points per game but leads the league grabbing 9.5 rebounds per contest in 2015-16.   No. 2 Augustana has won 11 straight games and enters the week at 11-1 on the season, including 8-0 in NSIC play.
