The newly formed Rural America 2020 has established itself in six states including Minnesota to address issues effecting rural residents and primarily agriculture. The Chair of the Minnesota Steering Committee is former State Ag Commissioner Dave Frederickson. He says there are a slew of issues producers and all rural residents need help with including everything from trade to health care.
He says the rural economy is currently suffering and the current administrations’ policies have not helped.
Frederickson says the President’s dealings with China is another example of a trade policy that hasn’t worked and needs to be fixed.
Rural America 2020 now has steering committees in six states including: Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
