When the South Dakota legislature convenes this week, at least one member will be working on a dual track.

Senate Minority Leader Billie Sutton of Burke is the only announced democratic candidate for Governor.
He says that won’t divert him from working on his core issues…

He says that includes campaign finance reform, and opening more government records. Sutton says those are not partisan issues……

Sutton had made a push to raise campaign dollars before the end of 2017. He says it appears they hit their targets…..

Sutton says he will only campaign on legislative breaks and the weekends until the end of the session.
