District 17 Republican Representative Sydney Davis of Burbank has filed to run for the state Senate this fall.
She says changes in people and maps led to her decision….
Davis was first elected to the legislature in 2020….
The new District 17 includes southern Clay County and Union County. Davis says it’s a smaller area….
Senator Art Rusch of Vermillion, who is term limited, decided to retire and not run for a House seat.
