Current republican state Senator Brock Greenfield of Clark is running for Commissioner of School & Public Lands.
He says he got a good description of the office from former Commissioner Ryan Brunner……
The office oversees the leasing of all state-owned grasslands and mineral rights.
Greenfield says he has been out, looking over much of the state holdings…..
Greenfield says the office also oversees many small and medium sized dams in the state…..
Greenfield faces democrat Timothy Azure of Wessington Springs on the November ballot.
