The Rules Review Committee of the South Dakota Legislature met today in Pierre, to go over more proposed and updated rules from state agencies.
Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says the Ag Department wanted to change the definition of rural areas to open up more towns to the lending program.

Hunhoff says the Ag Department told them that expanding the population area won’t cut the possible amount of loan funds.

Hunhoff says the Game, Fish & Parks Department also wanted an exemption that would allow them to operate boats at night without otherwise required running lights.

Other rules approved would create an expanded, concealed pistol use force of training program.
