The Royals are saving some money on their 2014 payroll.  The “New York Post” reports KC has restructured the contract of pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, reducing his salary this year from 11-million to eight-million.  Guthrie instead had a 10-million-dollar mutual option for 2016 added to his deal.
