Royals Fall To Tigers

Kansas City’s three game sweep of the Twins last weekend didn’t carry over for more success as the Royals lost to Detroit Monday night.

Jim Adduci delivered a two-run double in the ninth and scored the go-ahead run on James McCann’s double as the Tigers rallied for a 5-4 victory.

After Adduci’s double off Brandon Maurer tied it, Jason Hamel replaced Maurer and gave up a first-pitch RBI double to McCann, his third hit, to put the Tigers ahead.
