The Yankton County Commission got an update on the road improvement project at the Napa rail junction.
Dakota Plains, based in Parkston, has signed an agreement to build a grain loading facility at the wye junction in near Utica. The South Dakota Department of Transportation has given the county a five million dollar loan to pay for road improvements to the junction.
Commissioner Don Kettering says there has been a survey of the county road from Highway 50……….

Kettering says they will need some parcels of land along that route for the right of way…..

Kettering says they plan to meet individually with each of the landowners….

Kettering says they hope to have all the rights in place by early spring.
