A safety expert insists buckling up would have saved lives and reduced the number of fatalities on Nebraska roads last year.
State Safety Administrator Fred Zwonechek says many of the 242 people killed in traffic wrecks last year would have lived if they would have been wearing their seat belts. . .
Zwonechek says among those killed in wrecks were 26 motorcyclists and 18 pedestrians.
The 242 killed is an increase over 2014 when 225 died in traffic wrecks and up considerably from the 181 killed in 2011.
