With cornerback Xavier Rhodes in coverage, the Minnesota Vikings will be ready for Tampa Bay’s Jameis Winston.
Rhodes was in his final season at Florida State when Winston was the scout team quarterback. Winston won the Heisman Trophy the following year while leading the Seminoles to the national championship. The Buccaneers visit the Vikings on Sunday.
Tampa Bay can’t be sure who’s playing quarterback for Minnesota this week, so the Buccaneers are preparing for Sam Bradford and Case Keenum. They’re also expecting a heavy dose of rookie running back Dalvin Cook, regardless of who’s under center for the Vikings on Sunday. Cook leads the NFC in rushing through two games.
