The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments regarding the dispute between biofuel groups and refiners over the Renewable Fuel Standard. Petroleum groups have appealed the 10th Circuit Court Decision that required the EPA to strike down small refiner waivers and apply the RFS as intended by Congress. Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Executive Director Monte Shaw was hoping the lower court ruling was left alone and then enforced.

He’s hoping the U.S. Supreme Court upholds the lower court ruling and that that gets enforced moving forward.

Shaw also wants to see the new Head of the EPA follow through with what the 10th Circuit Court decided.

The Supreme Court did not set a date for the oral arguments which could occur as soon as April.
