The Renewable Fuel Association is urging the EPA Administrator to follow the intent of the Renewable Fuel Standard. RFA President and CEO Geoff Cooper says the agency has created uncertainty and instability for the renewable fuels industry by not following the law.

He says the EPA has not properly managed the RFS or obeyed court decisions and has allowed small refiner waivers which aren’t justified.

Cooper says they’ve written to EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler urging him to take immediate steps to correct their previous actions and make sure the RFS is properly followed.

Cooper says the EPA also must finalize the 2021 RVOs by the end of this November as required by law.
