Last week representatives of the Renewable Fuels Association, U.S. Grains Council and Growth Energy traveled to Panama and Peru on an exploratory trade mission. RFA Senior Vice President Geoff Cooper says both countries are interested in importing U.S. ethanol. He says while Panama is buying ethanol this year for the first time, Peru has been a good customer in the past.
Cooper says both countries are also very interested in the ethanol by product from the U.S., dried distillers grains used in animal feed.
Cooper says on their recent trip they met with various energy policy experts from both public and private institutions.
