Today the Environmental Protection Agency released the 2018 renewable fuel volume obligations for refiners under the Renewable Fuel Standard. Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Geoff Cooper is guardedly optimistic about the volume levels.

He says they want to make sure the EPA Administrator strictly enforces those levels going forward.

Cooper says hopefully EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler isn’t intending to issue any small refiner waivers at all in 2019 because there is no rationale or basis for doing so.
