The 2016 Export Exchange hosted by the Renewable Fuels Association and U.S. Grains Council wrapped up Wednesday in Detroit. More than 200 international buyers and end users of coarse grains and co products from 35 countries attended. Speaking to the group on the impacts of the U.S. elections on trade was RFA President and CEO Bob Dinneen. He says no matter who wins the Presidency, the U.S. will continue to engage in global trade.
He says trade is particularly important for U.S. agriculture as well as for consumers.
Dinneen says he encouraged international customers at the exchange to keep doing business with the U.S. despite all of the political rhetoric.
The Export Exchange which occurs once every two years allows attendees to meet and build relationships with domestic suppliers of corn, distiller’s dried grains and other commodities.
