Exports of United States dried distillers grains with solubles to Southeast Asia have increased 16-percent this marketing year. Renewable Fuels Association Senior Vice President Geoff Cooper says that region has been a robust market for U.S. DDGSs for several years.

He says the top Southeast Asian country for DDGS exports has dropped this year.

Cooper says it’s positive then, that DDGS exports have picked up in Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea and Japan to make up for the loss in China. He says what’s notable is that the largest market now for U.S. DDGs is in North America.

Cooper says there’s also been good DDGS exports to the Mideast, mainly to Turkey.
