RFA Leader Says Administration Should Focus On Net Zero Emissions Not EVs

RFA Leader Says Administration Should Focus On Net Zero Emissions Not EVs

President Joe Biden issued an Executive Order that sets a goal to get to 50 percent of new vehicle sales to electric vehicles by 2030. Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Geoff Cooper says goals of this type set by the President are often forgotten and or changed later on.

He says many things would have to be changed in order to even get close to reaching that electric vehicle goal.

Cooper says it makes more sense to work on achieving net zero emissions by using several different types of fuel to power vehicles than placing everything into one type of technology.

Cooper and biofuel proponents want President Biden to renew his commitment to biofuels and upholding the Renewable Fuel Standard.
