Revisions to the Pork Quality Assurance Plus program or PQA Plus took effect this week. That program through the National Pork Board is updated every three years. Pork Board’s Manager of Producer and State Communications Carrie Webster says this year’s major revisions focus on two training options, first time and re certification.
She says one of the more important components of the PQA Plus program is the Secure Pork Supply resource which helps prepare producers for a foreign animal disease.
Webster says the PQA Plus has been one of their most popular programs with several producers already participating.
