The National Biodiesel Foundation has received a grant for its 2020 National Clean Diesel Project. They’re partnering with the Iowa Department of Transportation and Renewable Energy Group to purchase three new replacement snow plows that will operate on a B100 blend. Iowa Biodiesel Board Executive Director Grant Kimberley says hopefully that will lead to the future use of higher biodiesel blends for all consumers.

He says going forward with this project will show the effectiveness of higher biodiesel blends to policy makers as well as the general public.

Kimberley this project adds to positive biodiesel programs that are already underway in Iowa helping to drive the growth of the industry.

The National Biodiesel Foundation is also working with Iowa D-O-T, Iowa Renewable Fuels, National Biodiesel Board and Iowa Clean Cities to offer technician training to help them better understand the B100 fueled equipment.
