Sunflower growers and researchers from around the country will be in Fargo the next two days for the National Sunflower Association’s Research Forum. NSA Executive Director John Sandbakken says it’s a great opportunity for growers to get updated on the latest research findings involving diseases and insects, blackbirds and as irrigation.

He says researchers will talk about a new disease impacting sunflowers that will be talked about and how growers can deal with it.

Sandbakken says they’ll have a lot of useful information for sunflower growers as they prepare for the spring planting season.

Researchers from USDA, North Dakota State, South Dakota State and the University of Nebraska will all be presenting. For more information on the forum, go to the National Sunflower Association’s website.
