The National Pork Board has released findings from its Comprehensive Insight to Action Research on trends in consumer behavior that relate to dining out. Pork Board President and South Dakota producer Steve Rommereim says its part of their demand landscape research they’ve been doing for two years.
He says an important finding from their study indicates most diets outside the U.S. center around pork.
Rommereim says when most consumers decide where to dine out they focus on convenience, health and taste.
Rommereim says restaurants can expand their menus to include more healthy pork choices like a tenderloin or sirloin chop. Those cuts stack up nutritionally with healthy proteins like chicken and seafood.
