Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer defends her signing of an open letter to Iran that has been harshly criticized by President Obama.
Fischer was one of 47 Republican senators who signed the letter which declares any deal not approved by the Senate could be discarded quickly.
Fischer says she is worried the president seeks to reach an international agreement with Iran over its nuclear program, cutting out the Senate in its traditional role of approving such measures.
Fischer says the letter simply states a fact: if the Senate doesn’t approve the agreement, it can be rejected by future administrations.
