A 2015 report on elder financial abuse found that nearly 40-percent of seniors are affected by financial abuse over the course of any five-year period.  Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar says there will be a doubling of the senior population by 2035

 

Klobuchar’s bipartisan bills which passed the Senate earlier this month, would strengthen reporting systems and coordinate efforts of federal agencies to defend seniors from fraud schemes.
