The Yankton School Board will have to make some decisions about the future of the districts football field.

The current Crane-Youngworth Field dates back about ninety years, and there are some concerns with the concrete grandstand.

Chuck Turner, Director of Grounds and Buildings, says a consultant’s report points toward some type of action…

Turner says they have some options for that field…

Turner says they studied renovations at Crane-Youngworth and also moving to Williams Field, the track facility at the high school.

He said it would cost about one point nine million dollars to renovate Crane-Youngworth, and about two point three million to move to Williams Field.

Superintendent Wayne Kindle says they should turn to the public for input on the proposals…

The school board took no further action on the report.
