Renewable Fuel Association Poll Finds Support for Standard

A poll of over 2,000 registered voters conducted by the Renewable Fuel Association shows that over 6 in 10 voters support a strong Renewable Fuel Standard. RFA President and CEO Bob Dinneen says the poll numbers were astounding and a huge endorsement of ethanol and the RFS.

Dinneen says these poll results are good ammunition for the RFA to defend the RFS against those in Congress who would reform or repeal it.

Dinneen says his group conducts this poll every year to determine the public’s view on ethanol and the RFS. He says another finding in this year’s poll is that by more than a 30% margin, voters support federal tax incentives to expand the use of cellulosic ethanol over those for oil companies.
