The Platte Institute for Economic Research is rolling out a new program next week called “Strong Jobs Nebraska”. Executive Director Jim Vokal says those who want to work in Nebraska often must wade through miles of red tape to meet licensing requirements that are unnecessary in other states.
Vokal says potential business owners and workers are leaving the state because of the licensing requirements.
Vokal says the Platte Institute is working with Governor Pete Ricketts and his policy team on a new comprehensive package that would address these licensing requirements.
