Regents Hopes For Tuition Freeze

The South Dakota Board of Regents will again ask the 2016 legislature for the money necessary to freeze tuition. A previous freeze came off this year when additional dollars were not set aside.

Schieffer says it is a matter of being competitive with higher education in other states…

 

Schieffer says there has also been a cost shift to students over the past few years…

 

The freeze would add about five million dollars to the Regents budget proposal.
