GPAC Men’s Golf Qualifier #2 was played on Thursday, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course.
Doane was host of the second 18 holes on the year for GPAC Men’s Golf.
Northwestern, the leader heading into the meet, again took home team honors carding a 296. The Red Raiders sit atop the GPAC leaderboard with a total score of 585. Doane, despite finishing sixth as a team in Qualifier #2, is just 12 strokes back in the overall race for second place (597). Midland is in third place (599) while Dakota Wesleyan and Hastings are tied for fourth overall (601).
Individually, Midland’s Renen Sahr took for medalist honors for GPAC Qualifier #2 shooting on-under par (70). Jay Timmer of Dordt and Matt Rees of Doane tied for second, each carding rounds of 71.
The overall new clubhouse leader is Mack Alspaugh of Doane with a 36-hole score of 143, one-over par. He holds a one shot lead over Colton Kooima of Northwestern and three shot lead over Tom Hogg of Dakota Wesleyan and Renen Sahr of Midland.

Spring GPAC Men’s Qualifiers will be hosted by Dakota Wesleyan and Nebraska Wesleyan on dates to be announced.
The GPAC will qualify one team for the NAIA National Golf Championships. The medalist, if not a member of the championship team, will also advance to the championships.
