At least one legislative district in South Dakota will have a recount this year.
In the District 16 republican House race, current Senator Bill Shorma of Dakota Dunes finished third, thirty five votes behind second place Kevin Jensen………

The official state canvass shows David Anderson first with eleven hundred sixty-six votes, Jensen with eight hundred seventy-four, and Shorma with eight hundred thirty-nine.
He says it shows the importance of every vote….

Shorma, who was appointed to the Senate last year by Governor Dennis Daugaard, says he wants to stay involved…

The recount will take place next week.
