Some votes changed, but the outcome stayed the same in a recount in the District 16 republican House primary.
Thirty-five votes separated Kevin Jensen and Bill Shorma at the end of the counting on election night.
That margin increased to thirty-eight after the recount.

Jensen, of Canton, says they watched the process carefully….

Jensen says the recounts, in Union and Lincoln Counties were well managed…..

Jensen says it will be nice to focus on the November election…

Incumbent David Anderson of Hudson, received eleven hundred sixty four votes, Jensen had eight hundred seventy two, and Shorma had eight hundred thirty four. Shorma, of Dakota Dunes, was attempting to move to the House after being named to the District 16 Senate seat last fall by Governor Dennis Daugaard.
